A FAMILY BUSINESS

Danny and Hassida Eliahu arrived in New Zealand with a desire to introduce pita bread to the New Zealand table. At the time, pita bread was not commercially produced here, so Danny set out to make fresh pita bread readily available to New Zealanders across the country.

With sons Yaron in production and Gilad in logistics, this family-run company began producing pita bread from a centuries-old family recipe in 1988. They sought to use only the finest quality natural ingredients, with no additives or preservatives. To this day, Danny’s Pita Bread remains family-run, and continues to produce a range of natural products based on authentic family recipes.

We never cut corners and we only use the finest quality natural ingredients. That way our products are always authentic. I am proud that my products have never contained any preservatives or additives and never will.”
